MEDELLIN, Colombia (May 24, 2026) – Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) won one last gold Sunday for the U.S. as the delegation took team silver and bronze to conclude the 2026 Pan American Championships.

Amano and Padilla took the mixed synchronized trampoline title in Medellin with a 50.380 to bring the U.S. medal tally over the weekend to nine, five of them gold from all senior trampoline finals during the competition. Canada took mixed synchro silver (46.270) and Argentina bronze (44.950). The mixed synchro pair of Sarah Webster (Valley View, Texas/Trampoline and Tumbling Express) and Elijah Vogel (Longmont, Colo./Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics) finished second in qualifying with a 47.730.

The American delegation also collected two team medals Sunday afternoon, with the women’s team of Amano, Webster, Ava DeHanes (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) and Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) scoring 24 points ahead of Mexico (19) and behind Brazil (26). The men’s team of Padilla, Vogel, Trevor Harder (Archdale, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy) and Aliaksei Shostak (Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express) scored 19 points to stand on the podium behind first-place Colombia (28) and Brazil in second (19). Scores were determined from an individual trampoline session on Sunday.
