RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (August 23, 2025) – The U.S. team of Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics), Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) and the Senior National Group finished 12th in team competition as the group took on the all-around Saturday at the 2025 Rhythmic World Championships in Rio.
The American delegation scored a combined 253.600 across all qualifying rounds to place 12th in team competition at the championships. Germany was first (286.500), Bulgaria second (281.550) and Ukraine third (278.550).
In the group all-around, the Senior National Group of Goda Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Anabella Hantov (Northfield, Ill.), Greta Pavilonyte (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Alaini Spata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.), Kalina Trayanov (Deerfield, Ill.) and Natalia Ye-Granda (San Diego, Calif.) finished 31st with a 32.700. Japan took the title with a 55.550. In qualifying, the U.S. group was 13th in three balls and two hoops with a 24.700 and 36th in five ribbons with an 8.000.
The 2025 Rhythmic World Championships conclude Sunday, August 24 with all finals beginning at 10 a.m. ET where Keys will contest hoop, ball and ribbon medals. Finals will be streamed on eurovisionsport.com and scoring will be available on the FIG competition site.
