MEDELLIN, Colombia (May 23, 2026) – U.S. athletes won both the men’s and women’s synchronized trampoline titles Saturday evening at the 2026 Pan American Championships.

Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) claimed his second gold medal of the competition Saturday with partner Elijah Vogel (Longmont, Colo./Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics) as they topped the men’s synchro podium with a 51.850. Brazil took silver (50.760) and host-country Colombia won bronze (47.030).

The American women’s pair of Ava DeHanes (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) and Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) struck gold in the final round with a 48.270, ahead of Mexico in second (47.480) and Brazil in third (46.470).

In the qualifying rounds, the women’s duo of Sarah Webster (Archdale, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy) and Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) had the second-highest score (47.920) of the afternoon after DeHanes and Garafalo, but did not advance due to only one pair per country being allowed into finals. The U.S. men’s pair of Aliaksei Shostak (Lafayette, La./Trampoline and Tumbling Express) and Trevor Harder (Archdale, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy) finished sixth with a 47.550.
