ASUNCIÓN, Par. (June 1, 2025) – The U.S. won eight medals Sunday, including a golden sweep of individual competition, to finish with 11 total medals at the 2025 Rhythmic Senior Pan American Championships in Paraguay.
Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) each claimed three apparatus medals Sunday afternoon, two titles each, to close out the championships. Already the all-around champion, Keys secured ball (28.350) and clubs (28.900) titles while Chu did the same on hoop (28.200) and ribbon (28.350). Keys also picked up ribbon silver on Sunday with a 27.650 and Chu ball bronze with a 27.150.
In group competition, Goda Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Greta Pavilonyte (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Anastasia Slipets (Wyckoff, N.J.), Alaini Spata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Natalia Ye-Granda (San Diego, Calif.) earned three balls and two hoops silver with a 26.000. Balsys, Pavilonyte, Spata, Ye-Granda and Anabella Hantov (Northfield, Ill.) also secured five ribbons bronze with a 19.900.
American performances at the Pan Am Championships also secured the U.S. three individual quota spots and one group spot to the 2025 Rhythmic World Championships August 20-24 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
