WHY:
USA Gymnastics will provide national and Olympic media a preview of organization events, policies, national team activities and camps leading into the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
Presentations by program administrators, coaches, athletes and sponsors will be featured. Other topics for discussion will include the Olympic Games selection procedures, and policies for the John Hancock U.S. Gymnastics Championships, the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and the Olympic Games. The goal of the summit is to provide media with an opportunity to ask questions, gather quotes and collect story ideas in a relaxed, low-key environment, prior to the 2000 Olympic Games.
Media will be provided a technical orientation to the events in conjunction with a training session prior to the Visa American Cup. Media are invited to attend the Visa American Cup, being held February 26 at the Orlando Arena at 2:30 p.m.
