ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay (August 19, 2025) – Jason Hao (Clarksville, Md./Capital Gymnastics National Training Center) and the U.S. men’s team all found the podium Tuesday evening, with the team claiming gold and Hao winning bronze all-around on Day 1 of artistic competition at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games.

The men’s junior team of Hao, Dominick Camarena (Georgetown, Texas/Houston Gymnastics Academy), William McCrea (Chicago, Ill./Lakeshore Academy of Art Gymnastics) and Nixon Miles (Simi Valley, Calif./Gymnastics Olympica USA) outscored all other countries in team competition, winning the title with a combined 225.000. The American topped the podium ahead of Colombia in second (224.500) and Mexico in third (219.100).

In addition to his team gold, Hao added all-around bronze to his medal case after scoring a 74.750 to land third overall. He took the third spot on the podium just behind Colombia’s Thomas Meija Cartagena in first (75.350) and Brazil’s Pedro de jesus Silvestre in second (75.250).

Each athlete also advanced to apparatus finals set for Thursday and Friday. Hao qualified to the pommel horse final in second (12.450), and both the floor exercise (12.850) and horizontal bar (12.500) in fourth. Camarena will join Hao in the pommel horse final after landing fourth (12.300) and the high bar final after placing fifth (12.400), also advancing to the parallel bars final in fourth with a 12.850.

McCrea qualified to four individual event finals Tuesday after ranking third on vault (13.525; 13.900, 13.150), fifth on floor (12.750), sixth on still rings (11.900) and eighth on parallel bars (12.250). Miles will compete in the rings final after qualifying fourth with a 11.950.

Artistic gymnastics at the Games continues Wednesday, August 20 with women’s competition where the U.S. women will take the floor in Subdivision 2 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
