ESSEN, Germany (July 22, 2025) – The U.S. men’s team of Tate Costa, Patrick Hoopes, Alex Nitache, Kai Uemura and Colt Walker compete in Germany this week at the 2025 World University Games July 22-26.

Making his international debut, 2024 U.S. vault silver medalist and NCAA horizontal bar champion Costa will join two-time 2025 World Cup medalist Hoopes, 2025 DTB Mixed Cup team champion Nitache, 2025 DTB Pokal team silver medalist Uemura, and 2025 Winter Cup parallel bars champion Walker in Germany.

The American delegation will compete in team, all-around and apparatus competitions in Subdivision 6 starting Wednesday, July 23, with the team final and individual qualifying at 12:25 p.m. ET. All-around final competition is set for Friday, July 25 at 6:55 a.m. ET, while all individual event finals begin the same time on Saturday.
