INDIANAPOLIS, May 25, 2017 – Eight members of the U.S. men’s national team are participating in a five-day long joint USA-Japan training camp this week at Konami Sports Club in Soka-City, Japan. The club served as the home training gym for two-time Olympic all-around gold medalist Kohei Uchimura, and the head coach at Konami is Moriizumi Takahiro, who helped guide the Japanese men to Olympic gold in Rio.

The U.S. delegation includes Donothan Bailey of Mission Viejo, Calif./U.S. Olympic Training Center; Allan Bower of Chandler, Ariz./University of Oklahoma; Hunter Justus of Cypress, Texas/University of Oklahoma; Akash Modi of Morganville, N.J./Stanford University; Yul Moldauer of Arvada, Colo./University of Oklahoma; Alex Naddour of Gilbert, Ariz./USA Youth Fitness; Eddie Penev of Penfield, N.Y./U.S. Olympic Training Center; and Donnell Whittenburg of Baltimore, Md./U.S. Olympic Training Center.

In addition to the eight athletes, Brett McClure, high performance director; Andriy Stephanchenko, coach; Mark Williams, coach; Yoichi Tomita, head of delegation; and Stephanie Peters, trainer, are also in attendance.
