INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 10, 2016 – Eight members of the U.S. Men’s Senior National Team are participating in a joint training camp with the Brazilian National Team Jan. 10-16 at its training facility, which is attached to the Olympic Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The U.S. and Brazilian squads trained together at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., prior to the 2015 Pan American Games, held last summer in Toronto, Ont., Canada.

Both the USA and Brazil will compete in men’s gymnastics at the 2016 Olympic Games later this year.

The U.S. men training in Rio are: Jake Dalton of Sparks, Nev./Team Hilton (University of Oklahoma); Steve Legendre of Port Jefferson, N.Y./Team Hilton (University of Oklahoma): Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton (Universal Gymnastics); Sam Mikulak of Newport Beach, Calif./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center); Alex Naddour of Gilbert, Ariz./Team Hilton (USA Youth Fitness Center); Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center); Donnell Whittenburg of Baltimore, Md./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center); and Brandon Wynn of Voorhees, N.J./Team Hilton (Ohio State University).

The coaches making the trip are Vitaly Marinitch of the U.S. Olympic Training Center and Mike Naddour of USA Youth Fitness Center. Also going to Rio are Kevin Mazeika, national team coordinator; Don Rackey, trainer; and Dennis McIntyre, vice president of men’s gymnastics.
