ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay (August 11, 2025) – The entire rhythmic and trampoline and tumbling delegation advanced to final competition after the first day of action Monday at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay.
The synchronized trampoline duos of Logan McCoy (Highlands, N.J./North Valley Gymnastics) and Kennedi Roberts (North Richland Hills, Texas/Southlake Gymnastics Academy), and Ryan Maccagnan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Taj Gleitsman (Salt Lake City, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling), each claimed final berths in their respective divisions. McCoy and Roberts qualified to the women’s synchro final in fourth with a 31.380, while Maccagnan and Gleitsman secured their spot in the final after placing fifth in men’s synchro qualifying with a 5.750.
In individual trampoline competition, Roberts and McCoy went 1-2 in women’s qualifying with Roberts ranking first (96.790) and McCoy second (95.970) after performing two routines. Maccagnan took the top men’s qualifying spot with a 107.440.
Monday also saw rhythmic action, where all U.S. athletes found their way into Wednesday’s final. Natalie de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and Anna Filipp (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) were the best two juniors on mat, qualifying in the top two positions on both hoop and ball. De la Rosa topped hoop qualifying with a 25.350 and was second on ball with a 25.150, while Filipp had the best score on ball (25.200) and the second best on hoop (25.350). De la Rosa currently sits first (50.500) all-around and Filipp second (49.650) following Monday’s competition.
The Junior National Group of Alana Hirota (West Hills, Calif.), Nina Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Ziah Khan (Irvine, Calif.), Leyla Kukhmazova (Porter Ranch, Calif.) and Sasha Kuliyev (Granada hills, Calif.) qualified in third to the five hoops final with a 23.150 and also sit third all-around with the same score.
Tuesday, August 12 will see winners crowned in the synchronized and individual trampoline finals, and the rhythmic all-around starting at 8:30 a.m. ET. American rhythmic athletes will also compete in individual clubs and ribbon and group 10 clubs qualifications. Fans can follow along through live scoring and streaming.
