COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 6, 2019 – The USA Gymnastics Trampoline National Team and invited athletes participated in last weekend’s team training camp at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Eighteen gymnasts participated in the national team camp that featured both training and educational sessions. The camp’s goals focused on athlete preparation for early 2019 competitions, cultivating a Team USA mindset, and creating a positive team training environment.

Nuno Merino, the trampoline national coach, directed the training sessions. Members of the national team staff led educational sessions on training periodization (the systematic planning of athletic training), preparation for 2019-2020 international assignments, and the U.S. trampoline program’s overall strategy.

The USA Gymnastics trampoline and tumbling program appreciates the hospitality and support provided by the USOTC.
