The 2001 World Age-Group Games are underway in Odense, Denmark. The 73 American athletes arrived in Denmark on Friday, July 27. After three days of training, they are anxiously awaiting the start of competition.
Opening ceremonies are tomorrow evening, July 31. Four days of competition begin on Wednesday, August 1.
While in Denmark, the athletes are taking some time to tour the country and get a feel for some of the local customs. The team took a trip to Egeskov Castle on Saturday, July 28. On Monday, July 30, they visited Lego Land and attended a special Welcome Function at the Odense Zoo.
Closing ceremonies will be held on Saturday, August 4.
The trip will end up with an overnight stay in Copenhagen and an excursion to Tivoli Gardens on Sunday, August 5.
