To the trampoline & tumbling Junior Olympic community:

With the 2018-19 Junior Olympic season coming to a close with the Stars & Stripes Championships last week, I wanted to send my heartfelt congratulations to the athletes and coaches who competed at all levels during the trampoline & tumbling Junior Olympic season which culminated at the USA Gymnastics Championships and the Stars & Stripes Championships. Your hard work and dedication were apparent at all of the competitions.

It was wonderful to meet so many of the athletes, parents, club owners, coaches and judges in Des Moines, and I look forward to similar opportunities in the coming season. Trampoline & tumbling is dynamic and powerful, and the skills performed in all of the T&T disciplines are exciting to watch. I still love bouncing and can’t resist jumping on a trampoline when I have a chance. After my recent jumps, I have a new appreciation for just how much training, skill and stamina are needed to make it look so effortless.

Watching the competition took me back to when I was young gymnast, when I didn’t realize how much time and effort meet directors, coaches, club owners, judges, administrators, volunteers and parents put in to stage all of the competitions, from invitationals to state, regional and national championships. This doesn’t include the hours spent training and coaching athletes, running the club, and shuttling children. We appreciate your commitment to doing what it takes, and we recognize that we wouldn’t be able to do this without your support.

Thank you for everything you all do on behalf of our athletes. Your dedication and passion are evident, and all of you are the reason trampoline & tumbling is the incredible sport it is.

I am looking forward to the 2019-20 season!
