INDIANAPOLIS, April 6, 2021 – Juniors Megan Chu of San Diego, Calif./Emerald City Academy and Gemma Gow of Newton, Mass./Nelys School of Rhythmic Gymnastics and senior Lennox Hopkins-Wilkins of Puyallup, Wash./Evergreen Rhythmics each notched a top-seven finish in an apparatus final on Day 3 of the 2021 International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament Sofia Cup. Chu, who took eighth in the junior all-around earlier in the week, finished sixth in ball with a 19.850 and seventh in ribbon with a 16.050. Gow earned the highest placement of the day, capturing fourth in the junior ball competition with a 19.800, while Hopkins-Wilkins finished seventh in the senior ball final with a 19.600.

Event champions in the junior division included junior all-around champion Liliana Lewinska of Poland in hoop (21.850) and Italy’s Alice Taglietti in ball (21.750) and clubs (22.400) and Viola Sella in ribbon (19.450). In the senior division, top earners were Kazakhstan’s Elxhana Taniyeva in hoop (22.300) and ribbon (20.550), Bulgaria’s Stiliana Nikolova in ball (24.700), and senior all-around champion Tatyana Volozhanina, also of Bulgaria, in clubs (24.450).
