Held every two years, the 2012 Kellogg’s Pacific Rim Championships took place in Everett, Wash. Team spirit was in the air as the USA Teams took on athletes from 16 countries. When it was “go time,” the USA pulled together to win the team gold in both the men’s and women’s competition. The format of the competition was each six-person team was comprised of at least three juniors, which made for an interesting competition and highlighted some new faces.

On the women’s side, Jordyn Wieber won the all-around for the seniors and Katelyn Ohashi for the juniors. Chris Brooks was the all-around champion for the senior men. In addition, the USA athletes earned numerous other medals in the all-around and individual events.

The athletes all agreed that winning the team gold was the most exciting moment of the event.
