SHREVEPORT, La. (April 12, 2025) – Texas Woman’s University reclaimed the team title at the 2025 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships for the first time since 2022.

Texas Woman’s scored an overall 196.175 in Saturday’s team competition to return to the top of the podium. Southeast Missouri State University claimed silver just with a 195.025, followed by the University of Bridgeport in third with a 193.600.

The TWU Owls clinched their championship with top performances across nearly all apparatus. Caroline Bowns (New Hill, N.C.) was best on uneven bars with a 9.900 while Sophie Hernandez (Holly Springs, N.C.) had a matching score on balance beam to lead on the apparatus. Bailey Upton (Lincolnton, N.C.) topped the floor exercise leaderboard, scoring a 9.825 to help secure TWUs title. All-around silver medalist Taylor Ingle (Coppell, Texas/Southeast Missouri State University) had the highest score on vault with a 9.850

Sunday will conclude the championships with individual event finals beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The event will continue to steam live and live scores are available at virti.us.
