INDIANAPOLIS, April 10, 2015 – Lindenwood University’s Kierstin Sokolowski won the all-around at the 2015 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championships, held at the University of Pennsylvania’s Palestra in Philadelphia, Pa. Competition continues tomorrow with the team finals at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, and wrap up on Sunday with the individual event finals at 1 p.m. ET.

The University of Bridgeport is seeking its seventh team title on Saturday. Lindenwood (194.050) and Texas Woman’s University (193.975) advanced to the finals from the first session. Seattle Pacific University (193.825) and Bridgeport (193.700) also qualified to the team finals. The remaining scores from the team competition are: University of Pennsylvania, 193.100; Brown University, 191.900; U.S. Air Force Academy, 190.400; and Yale University, 189.500.

In the all-around, Sokolowski won the title with a total of 38.925. Bridgeport’s Sasha Tsikhanovich was second with 38.900, followed by Ashley White of Centenary College at 38.875.

The schools competing in the team competition are: Brown University, Lindenwood University, Seattle Pacific University, Texas Woman’s University, U.S. Air Force Academy, University of Bridgeport, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University. Schools with athletes competing for an event or all-around title only are: Centenary College, Cornell University, Southern Connecticut State University and West Chester University.

The USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships is for Division I, II and III schools with less than seven-and-a-half full scholarships.
