Bridget Sloan, the 2009 World and U.S. all-around champion and a member of the 2008 U.S. Women’s Olympic silver-medal team, recently visited three Indianapolis-area gymnastics clubs to promote the first-ever USA Gymnastics Family Fun Night, which will be held in conjunction with the Indiana Pacers game at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday, April 8. Sloan, a native of Pittsboro, Ind., signed autographs and talked to gymnasts at Dana Mannix Gymnastics Center, Gymnastics Unlimited, and Geist Sports Academy.

Sloan talked about USA Gymnastics teaming up with NBA Fit for USA Gymnastics Family Fun Night to help promote a fit and healthy lifestyle to today’s youth. Clubs are invited to come to Conseco Fieldhouse and take part in pre-game fitness activities on the Pacers’ practice court at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, April 8, when the Pacers take on the Atlanta Hawks. Other available activities will include: a bounce house, an obstacle course, and free giveaways, such as tee-shirts, drawstring bags, temporary tattoos, bumper stickers, and USA Gymnastics magazines. Attendees will also have an opportunity to have a personal picture taken with Sloan, which will be displayed on the USA Gymnastics website. During the game’s halftime, the 2011 Indiana all-around state champions (both men and women) will be recognized.
