TOKYO, July 31, 2021 – World team silver medalist Aliaksei Shostak of Lafayette, La., took 13th in the Olympic men’s trampoline competition Saturday at Ariake Gymnastics Centre. Shostak’s first qualifying routine earned a 51.165 but his quest for a medal came to an end when he was unable to complete his second routine. He finished with a combined 82.150.

Ivan Litvinovich of Belarus claimed the gold medal, posting a score of 61.715 in the event final. Dong Dong of China (61.235) and Dylan Schmidt of New Zealand (60.675) earned silver and bronze, respectively.

Shostak was competing in his first Olympic Games.

Artistic gymnastics will resume Sunday with the start of individual event finals. The full competition schedule is listed below in eastern time.

  • Men’s floor exercise, women’s vault, men’s pommel horse and women’s uneven bars finals: August 1, 4 a.m.
  • Men’s still rings, women’s floor exercise and men’s vault finals: August 2, 4 a.m.
  • Men’s parallel bars, women’s balance beam and men’s horizontal bar finals: August 3, 4 a.m.
