2010 World vault champion Alicia Sacramone of Winchester, Mass., recently traveled to Saint Paul, Minn., to promote the 2011 Visa Championships, scheduled for Aug. 17-20 at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn., and to mark the early-bird sale of all-session tickets for the four-day event. Sacramone dodged winter storms in the Midwest and Northeast to get to the Twin Cities area, where she visited four local gymnastics clubs and stopped by a Minnesota Wild game.

The 2008 Olympic team silver medalist met with young gymnasts, posed for photos and signed autographs at TAGS Gymnastics in Apple Valley; Gleason’s Gymnastics in Eagan; Perpetual Motion in Woodbury; and Rising Stars Gymnastics in Oakdale.

Sacramone was introduced at the Minnesota Wild game, and through a Aca A Tweet-2-Meet-AliciaAca A contest, met and had her picture taken with Alex Kempston of Eden Prairie, Minn., the lucky winner.
