Six U.S. rhythmic gymnasts will open the 2010 international season at the Montreal World Cup and Junior Tournament this weekend at the Centre Pierre Charbonneau sports hall in Montreal, Canada.

Julie Zetlin of Bethesda, Md./Rhythmflex, a two-time U.S. World Team member and Pan American silver medalist in ribbon, headlines a senior U.S. team that includes Anastasia Torba of Orinda, Calif./Allegro Rhythmic, and first-time international senior event competitors from North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, Shelby Kisiel of Houston and Katherine Scarnechia of Long Grove, Ill.

Competing in the Junior Tournament are Chicago Cup bronze-medalist Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center and Junior Pan American team gold-medalist Megan Kincaid of Los Angeles/ California Rhythms.

Caroline Hunt, USA Gymnastics Rhythmic Program Director and FIG Rhythmic Technical Committee member, will serve as the official FIG delegate for the event, which is rhythmic gymnastics’ first World Cup of 2010.
