ASUNCIÓN, Par. (May 24, 2025) – The U.S. delegation in Paraguay collected eight more medals Saturday on the third day of the Junior Pan American Championships.
In championship competition, Natalia de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) claimed two gold medals in the hoop (25.500) and ball (25.600) finals, respectively, while Dawn Kim (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) secured ball bronze (22.200). The Junior National Group of Alana Hirota (West Hills, Calif.), Nina Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Ziah Khan (Irvine, Calif.), Leyla Kukhmazova (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Sasha Kuliyev (Granada hills, Calif.) and Katherine Roytman (Chatsworth, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) earned all-around silver with a 45.200.
The junior duo of Valerie Magduke (Brooklyn, N.Y./Isadora by Matchpoint) and Varvara Poniatovskaya (Las Vegas, Nev./ Nevada Rhythmic Academy) swept all apparatus titles in tournament competition. Magduke topped the clubs (22.750) and ribbon (21.650) podiums, respectively, while Poniatovskaya did the same on hoop (23.750) and ball (23.100) to conclude the Pan Am Tournament.
In addition to their all-around medal, the Junior National Group also qualified in third (21.250) to Sunday’s 10 clubs final. The 2025 Junior Pan American Championships conclude Sunday with all remaining finals. Fans can stream the competition live and follow along with live scoring.
