INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Nov. 8, 2010 – USA Gymnastics announced the members of the U.S. Men’s National Team who will represent the USA on international assignments for the balance of 2010 at the Champions Trophy, the Toyota Cup and a Tokyo training camp. The gymnasts were selected by the Men’s Program Committee.


2010 World all-around bronze-medalist and reigning U.S. all-around champion Jonathan Horton of Houston will compete in the Champions Trophy on Nov. 14 in Stuttgart, Germany. Horton trains at Cypress Gymnastics and will be accompanied by his coach, Tom Meadows.


The three athletes participating in the Toyota Cup on Dec. 11-12 in Toyota, Aichi (Japan) are: Joey Hagerty of Albuquerque, N.M./U.S. Olympic Training Center; RJ Heflin of Houston/Houston Gymnastics Academy; and Paul Ruggeri of Manlius, N.Y./University of Illinois. The Toyota Cup is a two-day individual event competition. The coaches are Justin Spring and Nori Iwai.


Six junior national team members will attend a training camp in Tokyo, Japan, Dec. 5-12: Wyatt Aycock of Orlando (Fla.) Metro; Kevin Ko of El Cerrito, Calif./Golden Bears Gymnastics; Jake Martin of Oviedo, Fla./Orlando Metro; Cale Robinson of Knoxville, Tenn./Premier Athletic; Jacoby Rubin of Buffalo Grove (Ill.) Gymnastics; and Jordan Valdez of Louisville, Colo./Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics. Phil Savage and Leo Krivitsky are the coaches.
