For the past three years, the Region 6 Junior Olympic Chairman Larry Goldsmith has hosted The Jacquie Hirsch For A.L.L. Compulsory Clinic For A Cure at various gyms in upstate New York. Goldsmith started the fundraiser after a dear friend and former Region 6 gymnast, Jacquie Hirsch, passed away from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia at the age of 23. The Jacquie Hirsch For A.L.L. Foundation was established to help cure Jacquie of this disease.

Since her passing, the event’s focus is now toward finding a cure. Each year, more than 100 gymnasts, judges and coaches gather together to work on the compulsory routines for the upcoming season and benefit this wonderful organization. One hundred percent of the entry fees are donated to the foundation and all coaches and judges volunteer their time. In its three years, the Clinic For A Cure has raised almost $14,000 for cancer research.
