JAKARTA, Indonesia (October 20, 2025) – All four Americans held onto their positions and advanced to individual men’s event finals at the 2025 FIG Artistic World Championships in Jakarta.
After putting up the top still rings score on Day 1, Donnell Whittenburg (Baltimore, Md./EVO Gymnastics) qualified second to Friday’s final with his score of 14.700. He also moved onto the parallel bars final, advancing in sixth with a 14.300.
Slotting in third on their respective apparatus were Patrick Hoopes (Lehi, Utah/U.S. Air Force Academy) on pommel horse (14.566) and Kameron Nelson (Columbus, Ohio/Ohio State University) on floor exercise (14.300). Brody Malone (Aragon, Ga./EVO Gymnastics) remained in sixth on horizontal bar (14.166) as all three men moved onto their respective finals slated for Saturday.
Next up at the FIG Artistic World Championships are the American women’s team of Skye Blakely (Frisco, Texas/University of Florida), Dulcy Caylor (Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre), Joscelyn Roberson (Texarkana, Texas/University of Arkansas) and Leanne Wong (Overland Park, Kan./University of Florida), who compete in Subdivision 4 on October 20 at 11 p.m. ET.
