HARTFORD, Conn. (May 17, 2024) – Amia Pugh-Banks (Newport News, Va./World Class Gymnastics) and Amariah Moore (Wilmington, Del./First State Gymnastics) clinched the 13-14 and 11-12 year-old division titles at the 2024 Hopes Championships Friday afternoon in Hartford, Connecticut.

Pugh-Banks won the 13-14 age-group competition after posting a 49.600 all-around and winning gold medals on vault (13.250), floor exercise (12.500) and balance beam (12.400) in the process. Her all-around score was bolstered by a top-five finish on uneven bars with a score of 11.450. Ansley Stevens (Liberty Township, Ohio/Cincinnati Gymnastics) took all-around silver with a 48.400 and Alessandra Gaines (San Antonio, Texas/Mavericks Gymnastics) all-around bronze with a 48.250. Gaines also went home with a vault silver (12.900), tying with Leah Higgins (/North Stars Gymnastics Academy) on the apparatus, and beam bronze (12.300). Simone Seed (Bellevue, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) and Addison Blosser (Fairfax Station, Va./Capital Gymnastics National Training Center) tied for bars gold with a 12.050.

In the 11-12 division, Moore secured all-around gold with a 48.650 and also took the beam (12.100) and floor (12.000) titles and bars (11.750) and vault (12.800) silver medals during the championship. Mattie Mae Young (Greenville, S.C./Georgia Elite Gymnastics) was the all-around second place finisher with a 47.950, also winning bars with a 11.950, tying with Moore on floor for gold with a 12.000, and tying with Avery Haines (Bowie, Md./First State Gymnastics) for bronze on vault with a 12.600.

Haines won five total bronze medals Friday night, taking all-around (47.500), bars (11.550), floor (11.550) and tying with Charlotte Henk (New Braunfels, Texas/360 Elite Gymnastics) and Jazzy Saravia (Freehold, N.J./Spartan Gymnastics) on beam (11.800), including her vault bronze. Alden Dante (Villa Park, Calif./Wildfire Gymnastics) won vault gold with a (13.000).

The 2024-25 Hopes National Team was also named following the Hopes Championship in Hartford. Athletes named to the team are listed alphabetically below by age-group.
