Tom Housley, USA Acrobatic Gymnastics Program Director and Selena Peco, USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Committee Chairman, were invited to present at the 2009 Gymnastics Ontario Congress in Toronto on Saturday, October 3. Tom and Selena’s AcroBasics Course was well received with approximately 20 people attending the two two-hour lecture.
It was a wonderful opportunity to continue to develop the discipline of acrobatic gymnastics and build stronger international relationships. During the stay, there were discussions of holding an international clinic/camp between Canada and other international acrobatic colleagues in the not-so-far future.
Tom and Selena would like to thank Doug Shirton and Don Holmes of Gymnastics Ontario for their hospitality. Don, a former elite power tumbler, will be acting as a tumbling clinician at the upcoming USA Acrobatic Gymnastics National Athlete Development Camp to be held at Karolyi’s December 18 – 22, 2009.
