Note: Region 4/5 Championship participants have the option to stay at the OTC between events (reservations on a first-come, first-served basis) with training Monday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 16. There will be a charge of $25 per athlete/per day for these additional training days.

Note: There is no admission charge for spectators
Transportation Only those staying on-site at the OTC will be considered for transportation to/from the Albany airport. At no time is transportation guaranteed, but USA Gymnastics and the OTC staff will make best efforts for those staying on-site who have turned in flight information by April 14th.

Cost - $15 (for participants staying at the OTC only)

Guidelines:
  • The request for OTC transportation must be indicated on your accommodation form
  • ARRIVALS: 5:00pm or earlier at the ALB airport
  • DEPARTURES: 12:00pm or later at the ALB airport
  • Flight information must be turned in to USA Gymnastics by April 14th in order to be considered for transportation.
  • Note: if for some reason transportation cannot be provided for your flight, the shuttle charge will be reimbursed.
Travel Form (Due April 14th)

Please be mindful of the fact that the OTC is several hours’ distance from the Albany Airport and there are a limited number of shuttles per day. It is possible that depending on arrival time there could be several hours wait for the next shuttle.
Accommodation – OTC Lodging A limited number of beds are available at the OTC. National Team clubs will be given priority for these beds through Friday, March 12th, 2017. After March 12th, 2017, registration for OTC beds will be opened to all participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost: $75/night* - includes lodging, meals, and training

*OTC lodging is free of charge for current National Team Members and current National Team Coaches from Thursday, May 18 through Sunday, May 21. For early arrivals, the standard $75/night fee will be applied.

All accommodation costs must be paid in full via the USA Gymnastics website by March 31st, 2017. Any reservations that have not received payment will be released to other participants after that date.

Membership and Attire Athletes must hold a current USA Gymnastics Athlete Membership

Coaches must hold a current USA Gymnastics Professional Membership/safety/background check/U100 to participate in the 2017 Rhythmic National Qualifier

National team apparel cannot be worn for either the National Qualifier or National Championships. This includes warm-ups, t-shirts, bags, etc…please leave all National Team Apparel/Accessories at home. All coaches must be in club or athletic apparel with athletic shoes to be on the competition floor. Please remember to dress warmly as it can be chilly in the gym.

Qualification to USA Gymnastics Championships Qualification to the 2017 USA Gymnastics Championships:

Top 25 Juniors/Hopes from the 2017 National Qualifier

Top 17 Seniors from the 2017 National Qualifier (top 20 includes those senior athletes per the Rules and Policies from international selection; those gymnast(s) are part of the 20, and the total number of qualified seniors will not exceed 20)

Athletes who qualify and compete in the 2017 USA Gymnastics Championships become Elite Level 10.

Athletes who qualify to the National Championships will have a limited amount of time to register for Championships. Registration for Championships will close on May 22nd – there will be absolutely no extension to this deadline.

There will be two Senior rotations during the AA qualification at the USA Gymnastics Championships. As determined by the Rhythmic Program Committee, the evening session rotation will be 9 current National Team members and the highest placing qualifier from the Rhythmic National Qualifier who is not on the Senior National Team. The morning session will include the remaining athletes qualified through the Qualifier.
Level 10 Qualification Top 20% of Juniors and top 20% of Seniors from the Qualifier after those who advance to the Championships will become Level 10. Below are the numbers from 2017, based on the scratches we know as of 5/8/2017.

For 2017:
The top 25 additional JR competitors, after those who qualify for USA Gym Champs (places 26-50) will become level 10. (Subject to change based on the final number of competitors)

The top 8 additional SR competitors, after those who qualify for USA Gym Champs (places 18-25) will become level 10. (Subject to change based on the final number of competitors)

Additional information Meals:
Please note that meal cards will not be available for purchase at the OTC during the National Qualifier event. Additionally, the OTC does not have vending machines on-site. All participants staying off-site should make alternate plans for meals.

Lake Placid is a historic Olympic town with lots to offer families in the spring, including a charming Main Street full of restaurants, shops and beautiful lake views!
