All photographers must receive the consent and approval of USA Gymnastics. Photography will be permissible only in the designated areas provided that such photography does not interfere with USA Gymnastics and NBC rights, personnel and the conduct of the event. Photojournalists must be working on assignment for news coverage from an approved media organization. Photography taken for anything other than news usage must receive prior written approval from USA Gymnastics and may require athlete approval for commercial use.
Flash photography, audio, or video or digital video recording of any kind is not permitted.
Photographers are requested to wear dark clothing. Camera bags are not be permitted on the arena floor. Monopods are permitted; no tripods. Photographers may file from press row or the media workroom, but not from the field of play.
NBC Sports maintains the exclusive right to broadcast USA Gymnastics championship events. Local and non-rights-holding news crews will be allowed the following access:
- Tape or produce live segments on-site up to 15 minutes prior to the start of each session.
- Interviews with athletes, coaches and other event personnel prior to and following competition in designated media areas.
- Tape of training sessions at competition venue only.
- No live or taped competitive footage may be used without approval.
Any use of competition video without written permission from NBC Sports is prohibited.
In the event NBC is not present, USA Gymnastics will allow expanded event access to local news affiliates. Please contact a USA Gymnastics representative for broadcast restrictions and approved camera positions within the arena. USA Gymnastics reserves the right to restrict access to any video or audio recording devices at any time without notice. Prior approval and notification of presence is required in all cases. All interviews must be pre-arranged with USA Gymnastics.
