INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Feb. 28, 2012 — For the third straight year, Chicago will host the final qualifying event for women's gymnastics for the Visa Championships, which determines which gymnasts advance to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials – Gymnastics. Formerly known as the CoverGirl Classic, the Secret U.S. Classic, which features some of the USA's top female gymnasts, is scheduled for May 26 at the University of Illinois-Chicago campus' Pavilion. Tickets will go on sale on March 3 at 12 p.m. CT.

The Secret U.S. Classic is sponsored by Procter & Gamble's Secret Clinical Strength Antiperspirant/Deodorant. Title sponsorship of the Secret U.S. Classic is part of P&G's overall sponsorship of USA Gymnastics.

"This year's competition promises to be a great event," said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. "Many of the country's top gymnasts will use the event as a final tune-up for the Visa Championships, while other gymnasts are hoping to qualify for it. We welcome Secret as the new title sponsor for the event. We hope a lot of gymnastics fans will come to the Pavilion and cheer on these young women when the road for qualifying for London makes a stop in Chicago."

"We are excited to continue our sponsorship with USA Gymnastics," said David Palmer, head of Global Sports Marketing for Procter & Gamble. "A sponsorship such as this enables our brands to further integrate into the lives of our consumers and sponsored athletes."

P&G's overall sponsorship also includes support of the U.S. Women's National Team; presenting sponsorship of the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions; television inventory on USA Gymnastics event broadcasts; and onsite presence at USA Gymnastics' premier events (the AT&T American Cup, Visa Championships and Kellogg's Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships). Secret will also conduct grassroots sampling through gymnastics clubs; programs and promotions for USA Gymnastics membership, including sweepstakes, discounts, coupons, etc.; and integrated exposure in USA Gymnastics' publications and website.

"This sponsorship is a natural fit for Secret Clinical Strength," said John Sebastian, associate marketing director for Secret. "As a brand that champions fearless women, we are proud to stand behind these gymnasts as they tackle the next step in their journey to the Olympic Games this summer. Secret Clinical Strength has prescription strength protection designed with athletes like these incredible gymnasts in mind."
