All-session ticket packages for 2012 Visa Championships on sale now

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 12, 2011 — All-session ticket packages for the 2012 Visa Championships, which is scheduled for June 7-10 at St. Louis University's Chaifetz Arena, are on sale now at the Chaifetz Arena Box Office. Tickets are also available by phone at 314-534-1111 or 800-293-5949; online at; or through participating area gymnastics clubs. Bridget Sloan, whose accomplishments include 2011 Pan Am Games team gold medalist, 2009 World all-around champion and 2008 Olympic team silver medalist, visited St. Louis on Nov. 8-9 to promote tickets going on sale Nov. 12.

Performances at the 2012 Visa Championships will determine which gymnasts advance to the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, June 28-July 1 in San Jose, Calif. The Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics' national championships, features men's and women's gymnastics, with competition in both the junior and senior divisions. This is just the second time the Visa Championships have been held in St. Louis; the last time was in 2000. The St. Louis Sports Commission is the host organization for the four-day competition.

"The Visa Championships is always an incredible showcase of the talented gymnasts we have in the United States," said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. "This is an important event for all of our athletes, especially those who are trying to make the Olympic Team."

The Visa Championships determine the U.S. champions and the national team for both the junior and senior elite levels for men's and women's gymnastics. NBC Sports and Universal Sports will broadcast and webcast the action from St. Louis.
