Friends, family and other supporters across the nation are raising money to assist Garrett Tanner, a former gymnast and gymnastics instructor who suffered a C4-C5 spinal injury in an accident and is a quadriplegic. They are seeking funds to support Tanner’s involvement in an 18-month research initiative, which also includes Terrence Cooper, another former athlete.

Tanner began gymnastics at the age of seven and progressed to Level 7. He went on to become a gymnastics instructor at Desert Devils in Mesa, Ariz.
