Amy Chow, who is a 1996 Olympic gold (team) and silver (uneven bars) medalist and a 2000 Olympic team bronze medalist, will finish her medical training this summer and has big plans. After competing in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, Chow graduated from Stanford University. She then attended medical school at Stanford as well. USA Gymnastics recently spoke with Chow, now 31, and here’s what she had to say.

“I’m finishing my residency at the end of June and starting private practice as a general pediatrician in September,” said Chow. “I’m planning to live and work in Northern California. I’m definitely looking forward to starting work -- it’s been a long process.”

She added, “I’m getting married in July to Jason Ho (pictured with Amy). He’s an orthopedic surgeon and we met through a mutual friend.”

When asked if she still works out, Chow said, “As far as working out, I am diving now, mostly for fun, but I’ve done a couple of competitions.”
