Rhythmic gymnasts visit Chicago area clubs to promote Chicago Cup

North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center gymnasts Ava Gehringer of Evanston, Ill., and Jasmine “Jazzy” Kerber of Highland Park, Ill., were among two groups of senior and junior rhythmic gymnasts who visited Chicago-area gymnastics clubs on June 11, 2009, to promote the 2009 Chicago Cup, an international rhythmic gymnastics event scheduled for June 19-21 in Chicago. Each group visited two gym clubs. The group of Jazzy Kerber, Shelby Kisiel and Katherine Scarnechia visited Oak Lawn Gymnastics and Flying High Gymnastics, while JoAnna Arnold, Ava Gehringer and Madeline Peterson visited American Eagles and Gym Spot. During the visits, the gymnasts demonstrated rhythmic gymnastics, signed autographs, and posed for photographs.

Both Gehringer and Kerber are expected to compete in the Chicago Cup, which will be held June 19-21 at Chicago’s Broadway Armory Park. Click here for more information on the event.
