The U.S. delegation of eight travels to Antalya, Turkey for the FIG Junior Artistic World Championships March 29-April 2. Hundreds of athletes hailing from over 50 countries are expected to compete and vie for recognition on the world stage.

Leading the U.S. roster are 2023 Winter Cup junior all-around champions Kai Uemura for the men and Hezly Rivera for the women. Uemura will be joined on the men’s team by 2022 U.S. junior pommel horse champion and all-around silver medalist Kiran Mandava and reigning U.S. junior all-around champion David Shamah. Winter Cup junior parallel bars champion Caden Clinton serves as the traveling replacement athlete.

For the women, Winter Cup junior vault co-champion and all-around silver medalist Jayla Hang and 2022 U.S. junior floor exercise silver medalist Izzy Stassi will compete alongside Rivera. Winter Cup junior balance beam silver medalist Kieryn Finnell serves as the replacement athlete.

The championships kick off Wednesday, March 29 at 3 a.m. ET with men’s qualifications and team competition. Women’s qualifications and team competition begin Thursday’s schedule at 3 a.m. ET. Friday, March 31 is slated for all-around finals with men taking the floor at 7:30 a.m. ET, followed by the women at noon.

The U.S. men and women are set to compete in Subdivision 1 during qualifications. The top eight athletes per apparatus, limited to two gymnasts per country, will move onto event finals, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Gymnasts must perform a routine on every apparatus in qualifying in order to advance to the final on any apparatus.

Competition continues with event finals on Saturday, April 1 at 7 a.m. ET where men will perform on floor exercise, pommel horse and still rings, while women take on vault and uneven bars. The championship concludes Sunday with Day 2 of event finals at 7 a.m. ET. Men will compete on vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar, and the women on balance beam and floor.
