The final day of the 2023 USA Gymnastics Men’s Collegiate National Championships saw five athletes claim apparatus titles in Springfield, Mass.

Erich Upton of the U.S. Air Force Academy won two titles, clinching vault gold (14.450) ahead of teammate Sam Metzler (14.350) and Navy’s Isaiah Drake (14.300). He also won on parallel bars (13.900) over Springfield’s Sam Kaplan (13.600) and all-around champion Aidan Cuy from the College of William & Mary (13.450).

Air Force’s Garrett Braunton led the way on horizontal bar with a 14.400, with Owen Carney of Springfield and Giovanni Gambatese of Navy taking second (13.700) and third (13.600), respectively. Teammate Patrick Hoopes won on pommel horse with a 13.600, while Drake’s 13.250 and Ronan McQuillan of Navy’s 13.200 rounded out the podium.

Jakarie Williams of Springfield was the high scorer on floor exercise with a 14.150, ahead of Navy’s Connor Van Loo, who scored a 13.900, and Syam Buradagunta, who scored a 13.850. Springfield’s David Handron earned still rings gold (13.250) with Upton taking silver (13.200) and Kaplan and Drake tying for bronze (13.100).

Honors were presented at the conclusion of the event, including the 2023 Outstanding Senior Athlete Award and the National Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year awards. Winners are listed by award below.
