Internship Summary:
USA Gymnastics is seeking well-rounded students looking to excel in the sports industry. Our interns have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience working alongside staff in the creative department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Video content preparation for premier events
- Assist in production for FlipNow & YouTube broadcasts
- Participate in meetings and travel to and work at a number of our events
- On-site event support for premier events
- Other duties as assigned
- 2023 Development Nationals: May 9-15, Oklahoma City, OK
- 2023 USA Gymnastics Championship: June 18-25, Tulsa, OK
- 2023 American Classic: July 5-8, Katy, TX
- 2023 US Classic: August 1-5, Chicago, IL
- 2023 US Championships: August 21-27, San Jose, CA
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, other editing software
- Proficient with video camera equipment
- Passion for sport and the ideals of the Olympic Movement
- Organizational sports experience preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel to all events listed above
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, pressured, time-sensitive, and multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and tackle problems effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must successfully complete a background check, and SafeSport course certification
- Lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly, work outdoors and stand for long periods of time
- Applicant must be available for a minimum of 35 hours per week; during event dates; work long days including some weekends and evenings
- Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college/university or graduate program or recently graduated from a four-year accredited college/university. Can receive academic credit for the internship but not required
- Ability and willingness to travel and work weekends/holidays
- This position is based in Indianapolis, IN
- Internship dates may vary, from May to end of August
