Employment Opportunity - Member Services Representative

Summary Description
A Member Services Representative is the first point of contact for member inquiries. The role reports to Director of Membership and assists our community in obtaining and navigating a wide array of membership services and benefits the organization provides to the gymnastics community.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Member Services Representative will:

  • Answer busy 800 phone line that assists members with a variety of membership needs, educational requirements, and USA Gymnastics website navigation.
  • Handle all inquiries [telephone, fax, email, mail] to maintain customer service satisfaction.
  • Process departmental data entry and payment processing.
  • Review and compose a written response to emails.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the organization and directives.
  • Assist with other projects within the Member Services department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Expert knowledge of Outlook
  • Proficient at composing basic written business correspondence
  • Proficient skill with various software including Word, and Excel
  • Proficient in a MAC software environment
  • Working knowledge of DropBox, Zoom, and similar products.
  • Ability to learn new software
  • Ability to work as part of a team effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Incorporate safety, accountability, integrity, transparency, and listening into all daily activities
  • Comfortable with a hybrid remote/office work environment that spends 2 days in the office and 3 days remote per week.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous database navigation experience required.
Other Information
  • Position is based in Indianapolis, IN.
  • Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. ET
