posted on 09/29/2022

SZOMBATHELY, Hungary (September 29, 2022) - Up-and-coming U.S. senior gymnasts Addison Fatta (Wrightsville, Pa./Prestige Gymnastics), Katelyn Jong (Allen, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics) and Levi Jung-Ruivivar (Woodland Hills, Calif./Twin City Twisters) will hit the international stage this weekend at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Szombathely, Hungary. The trio will take on competitors from 26 countries with apparatus titles up for grabs.

Qualifications across all events are slated for Friday at Arena Savaria, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Only two gymnasts per country may compete on any apparatus. The top-eight scorers on each event will advance to the final medal round. The women's vault and uneven bars finals will be held Saturday with the balance beam and floor exercise finals to follow Sunday. Both finals sessions will get under way at 9 a.m. ET.

Fatta will compete on vault, uneven bars and balance beam. She will be joined on beam by Jong, who is also set to take on the floor exercise field. Jung-Ruivivar will challenge for the uneven bars and floor titles.

As a junior in 2021, Jong captured the Junior Pan American Championships and Junior Pan American Games all-around titles. Earlier this year, she and Jung-Ruivivar travelled to Germany as members of the gold-medal-winning U.S. DTB Pokal Mixed Cup team. Fatta was an alternate for the 2022 Pan American Championships Team in July and earned a top-ten all-around finish at last month's OOFOS U.S. Gymnastics Championships. She will make her first international appearance Friday in Szombathely.
