KATY, Texas (September 10, 2022) – Six senior women, including two Olympians, have been selected to represent the U.S. internationally in September with separate trios headed to the Paris and Szombathely World Challenge Cups.

Olympic medalists Jade Carey (Phoenix, Ariz./Oregon State University) and Jordan Chiles (Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre) and 2022 U.S. all-around runner-up Shilese Jones (Auburn, Wash./Ascend Gymnastics Center) will join World medalists Brody Malone (Aragon, Ga./Stanford University) and Donnell Whittenburg (Baltimore, Md./Salto Gymnastics) in France September 24-25.

Up-and-coming gymnasts Addison Fatta (Wrightsville, Pa./Prestige Gymnastics), Katelyn Jong (Allen, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics) and Levi Jung-Ruivivar (Woodland Hills, Calif./Twin City Twisters) are headed to Hungary for the Szombathely World Challenge Cup September 30 – October 2. All three have also been added to the Senior Women’s National Team.

During routine verification at the ongoing Women’s National Team camp, Carey posted the two highest-scoring vaults with a 14.733 and 14.400 for a combined 14.567. Chiles topped the table on balance beam (13.600) and floor exercise (14.000), and Jones led the way on uneven bars with a 14.766.

With Jones only showing three of four apparatus, Jong (52.665), Fatta (52.465) and Jung-Ruivivar (52.532) posted the third-, fourth- and fifth-highest all-around scores behind Chiles (55.699) and Carey (54.298).
