KATY, Texas (July 8, 2022) - Amelia Disidore (Overland Park, Kan./Great American Gymnastics Express) claimed the top spot in the senior all-around at Friday's American Classic, while Annalisa Milton (Lee's Summit, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express) captured the junior title. The annual event, which was held at Stars Gymnastics in Katy, Texas, was the penultimate opportunity of the season for athletes to qualify for the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championships set to take place August 18-21 in Tampa, Fla.

Disidore stood atop the podium after clipping GAGE teammate Marissa Neal (Blue Springs, Mo.), the only other senior all-around competitor, 51.800-49.050. On the junior side, Milton's 50.700 just outpaced medalists Kieryn Finnell (Pittsford, N.Y./Rochester Gymnastics Academy), who finished in second place with a 50.300, and Sage Bradford (Flower Mound, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics), who was third with a 50.150.

In the senior division, Disidore posted the day's high scores on vault (14.250) and floor exercise (13.100) with Neal earning top marks on uneven bars (12.700) and balance beam (13.600).

Milton added junior apparatus titles on vault (13.800) and floor exercise (13.200). Finnell's 13.100 topped the junior field on bars, and Taylor McMahon (Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams) was the beam champion with a 13.000.

Competition in Katy continues Saturday with the two-session Hopes Classic. The top-18 gymnasts in the 11-12-year-old and 13-14-year-old divisions who reach the minimum qualifying scores of 42.500 and 45.000, respectively, will qualify to the Hopes Championships July 28 in West Valley City, Utah.
