KOPER, Slovenia, September 5, 2021 - Riley Loos of El Dorado Hills, Calif./Stanford University took fourth place in the 2021 Koper (Slovenia) World Challenge Cup floor exercise and still rings apparatus finals Saturday at Arena Bonifika. Loos, who posted a 14.050 on floor and 14.100 on rings, also finished eighth during Sunday's vault final with a combined 13.725 (13.200 and 14.250).

Russia's Kirill Prokopev led the way on floor with a 14.650. Austria's Vinzenz Hoeck claimed the top spot on still rings with a 14.800, and Israel's Andrey Medvedev took first on vault with a 14.800, following individual vaults of 14.600 and 15.000.

Over the course of the competition, Loos debuted new skills on pommel horse and floor. Loos introduced a new strength element on floor – a backflip to planche – which was given a provisional B difficulty score. His pommel horse dismount, featuring a reverse 180-degree Stockli with a hop to handstand moving down the apparatus, was valued at a D.
