Summary Description
The Helpdesk position at USA Gymnastics is a unique role that supports and enhances information technology inside the office and for offsite locations.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Helpdesk Technician will be responsible for:

  • Monitor Help Desk requests, and respond in a timely manner.
  • Find technology solutions for employees and other external constituents in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Collect and utilize help desk request data to identify broader system and hardware challenges.
  • Develop solutions to chronic user issues, using the most appropriate method including education/training and/or hardware repair.
  • Support all hardware and software technology for USA Gymnastics staff and contractors.
  • Work proactively with Director of Technology to identify potential hardware problems, and prevent future problems.
  • Maintain office equipment, ensure proper working order.
  • Maintaining policies and records for USA Gymnastics owned computers and other devices to ensure a safe, secure, operational environment;
This position will support USA Gymnastics efforts in the promotion of a safe, healthy training environment for all participants, and will promote compliance with and enforcement of applicable USA Gymnastics rules, policies, and safe sport provisions in the gymnastics community.

Requirements and Competencies
This position requires the following abilities:
  • Strong communication, listening and customer service skills
  • Adept at problem solving in remote work situations, and via telephone
  • Carrying out assignments from management with minimal direction
  • Making repair and service recommendations backed with research and relevant information
  • Staying organized and prioritize a variety of projects
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Manage and coordinate with third party vendors
  • Functional knowledge of the following Technologies: Mac OS/iOS; Office 365 and Outlook for Mac; administration of Office 365 and Azure AD; Dropbox for business; Zoom
  • Knowledge of: Ubiquiti networking equipment/security; VPN/remote access; mobile device management; AWS
Education and Experience
  • College or Trade School degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with MacOS, device management, networking equipment and configuration, printers and copiers, iPhones, Zoom, Dropbox
Other Information
  • Position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
  • Weekend work may be required
  • Physical requirements include installing equipment in small spaces, lifting 50+ pounds
