INDIANAPOLIS, April 3, 2021 – Rhythmic Senior National Team members Lennox Hopkins-Wilkins of Puyallup, Wash./Evergreen Rhythmics and Alexandria Kautzman of Westlake Village, Calif./California Rhythms are set to represent the U.S. at the 2021 International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament Sofia Cup in Bulgaria, April 4-6. They will be joined by Junior National Team members Megan Chu of San Diego, Calif./Emerald City Academy, Gemma Gow of Newton, Mass./Nelys School of Rhythmic Gymnastics, Rin Keys of Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics, and Sarah Mariotti of San Diego, Calif./Emerald City Academy.

The annual event, which will be held in the same venue as last month’s Sofia World Cup, provides junior and senior athletes the opportunity to gain valuable experience at the international level. Gymnasts will compete in the hoop and ball apparatus in the all-around competition Sunday, followed by clubs and ribbon on Monday. The top eight finishers in each apparatus will qualify to Tuesday’s event finals. A maximum of two athletes per country in the senior division and one per country in the junior division may advance.
