Sloan, Ludvigson plan to visit charity gymnastics meet

PEORIA, Ill., Jan. 12, 2008 – 2008 Olympic team silver-medalist Bridget Sloan of Pittsboro, Ind., and 2008 World Cup tumbling silver-medalist Kalon Ludvigson of Sterling, Utah, are expected to sign autographs the 2009 St. Jude Gymnastics and Tumbling Benefit Meet, Jan. 17-18 at the Peoria (Ill.) Civic Center. The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT on Jan. 17 and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 18. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children and seniors.

The St. Jude Benefit Meet has been described as the largest charity meet in the nation, and all net proceeds are donated to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. During the past 17 years, the meet has donated more than $750,000 to the research and treatment of children with cancer and other diseases.
