Call for Nominations – National Elite Committee

USA Gymnastics Acrobatic Gymnastics Program is calling for nominations for three (3) elite coach representatives of the National Elite Committee.

The National Elite Committee consists of a Chair, three (3) elite coach representatives, High Performance Administrator, Athlete Representative and Acrobatics Program Director. This election is for the three (3) elite coach representative positions.

Please refer to the 2020 Acrobatic Gymnastics Operating Code for complete committee structures, criteria, responsibilities, terms, and election procedures.



Deadline to submit nominations is July 29, 2020.




Elite coach representative nominees must meet the following criteria to be nominated for each committee position.

General criteria:
  • Be a current professional member of the Acrobatic Gymnastics discipline.
  • Be a member in good standing for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years immediately prior to the nomination.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Meet the specific position criteria published in the 2020 Acrobatic Gymnastics Operating Code (and also listed below).
  • Nominees will be asked to confirm their nomination and submit a 1-page resume with headshot by July 31, 2020.
National Elite Committee Member (2 year term)
  • Currently coaching or have coached a junior (JE 12-18 or JE 13-19) and/or senior elite pair/group at USA Gymnastics Championships or other designated national team selection event (i.e., Acro Cup, World Team Trials) within the last four (4) years.
Elected by: Acrobatic coaches with a current USA Gymnastics Professional membership with athletes competing at Junior (12-18 or 13-19) or Senior Elite USA Gymnastics Championships in the year of the election and coaches who have had junior or senior elite athletes in the past two (2) years (one vote per club). Per the May 5, 2020 APC Minutes, eligible voters in this election also include coaches who had junior (12-18 or 13-19) or senior elite athletes registered for the 2020 World Team Trials (one vote per club).

For 2020, the term of office for newly elected committee members will begin September 1, 2020.

Call for nominations will close on July 29, 2020.
  • Eligibility to nominate. Nominations for all listed positions can be made by any current Acrobatic Gymnastics Professional Member. Individuals may self-nominate.
  • Nomination submission. Nominations must be submitted via email to Acrobatics@usagym.org by July 29th and include the following:
    • Name of Nominee/professional membership number
    • Position nominated for
    • Confirmation the nominee is willing to serve
    • Include nominee’s 1 page resume or CV that includes a headshot, if possible
    • Name/professional membership number of nominating member
    After the nomination period is closed, candidate confirmations and resumes will be completed, then a voting period will open. Acrobatic Gymnastics professional members will be eligible to vote consistent with the criteria and guidelines published in the 2020 Acrobatic Gymnastics Operating Code.
