Call for Nominations - Men’s Program Representative (#2)

USA Gymnastics’ is inviting expressions of interest from individuals desiring to serve as Men’s Program Representative (#2) on the Programs Council. The individual would be filling a vacated position with the term ending December 31, 2020. The Programs Council provides a forum for the representatives to consider and offer perspectives on matters relating to (i) relevant operations and strategic development of USA Gymnastics, and (ii) the development of best practices and uniform criteria and guidelines for program administration that can be adopted by the National Program Committees.

Criteria to be considered:

  • Be a current professional member of the respective discipline;
  • Meet the criteria, expectations and time commitment outlined in USA Gymnastics Board Member Specifications and Qualifications for Service (Article 2.4 of USA Gymnastics Bylaws);
  • Must share USA Gymnastics’ commitment to athlete safety and well-being;
  • Have no previous service on the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors, with the exception that 2018 Interim Board members are eligible;
  • Program Council Member #2 specific: Individual must be a current professional member and currently be working in a USA Gymnastics Member Club. In addition, this individual must have been an active personal coach for an athlete who competed at the Winter Cup Challenge or U.S. Championships within the last 6 years.

As provided in the Bylaws, no salary or other compensation shall be paid for volunteering as a Director or Chair.
