Correction to Mobility Process Information
posted on 12/14/2019

Unfortunately an error has been identified in the 2020 T210 and R&P (section V page 2), and this update is to clarify the correct information to apply throughout 2020.

Beginning August 1, 2019

  • Coaches are responsible for tracking mobility from level 4 through level 8.
  • Coaches are encouraged to use the mobility scores to ensure the athlete is ready to advance to the next level.
  • Level 8 to 9 and 9 to 10 will need the approval of the State Chair to advance to next level.
  • Level 10 will need the approval of the Elite Chair to advance into the Elite System.
We recognize that there are clubs who have already made decisions based on this incorrect information. Therefore for the 2020 season only, athletes who have moved from Level 8 to Level 9 in good faith without hitting the mobility score may continue in their new level and will not be required to re-mobilize. We ask that these clubs please immediately advise their State Chair of the athlete’s change in level to ensure records are correct. It is recommended that the full process be followed, and this will again be mandatory from August 1, 2020 onwards.

We apologize for the error. This interim solution has been implemented so that no athletes or clubs acting in good faith are adversely affected.
