Six U.S. T&T gymnasts advance to World Cup finals in Valladolid, Spain

VALLADOLID, Spain, Oct. 6, 2019 – Six U.S. senior trampoline and tumbling gymnasts qualified for their respective team finals at the World Cup, held in Valladolid, Spain, at the Pabelon Polideportivo Pisuerga. Team USA swept the women’s 15-16 double mini-trampoline medals at the City of Valladolid International Tournament. Twenty-four Americans will compete in the finals of the City of Valladolid International Tournament. Both events have finals in trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline, and the World Cup also has synchronized trampoline qualifying and finals this morning.

In the women’s 15-16 double-mini final, Shelby Nobuhara of Mapleton, Utah/High Altitude, won the title at 68.800. Teammates Andi Holmes of Phoenix, Ariz./North Valley Gymnastics, claimed the silver (67.700) and Maia Amano of Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy, captured the bronze (66.800). Allie Singer of Ladera Ranch, Calif./World Elite Gymnastics, was fourth at 66.500.

The list below shows the final results for the 15-16 women’s double-mini, as well as the U.S. gymnasts’ placements and scores in the qualification round for both events. Those in red are advancing to the finals, which are scheduled for later today. The World Cup also will have both qualifications and finals for synchronized trampoline. U.S.-based fans can watch a livestream of the World Cup finals on olympicchannel.com; check the website for the time on Sunday, Oct. 6, in the morning. The Olympic Channel will show the finals at 8 p.m. on the 6th with a simulcast.
