Biles win’s women’s all-around at DTB Pokal World Cup

STUTTGART, Germany, March 17, 2019 – Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, won the women’s all-around at the 2019 DTB Pokal World Cup, the second of four all-around World Cups in the International Gymnastics Federation’s all-around World Cup Series.

Biles easily won the title with a 58.800, with a 3.668 margin over Canada’s Ana Padurariu at 55.132. Germany’s Elisabeth Seitz completing the top three at 54.399.

Biles started the day by hitting her Cheng vault for a 15.400. On the uneven bars, she earned a 14.300 for her routine that ended with her full-twisting double back dismount. Biles turns in a solid balance beam routine that included a side aerial to split jump half to front aerial, split jump and straddle jump to her back handspring, back handspring and full-in tuck dismount. She claimed a 14.200. Finishing up on the floor exercise, Biles’ routine included her signature move, the Biles, and finished with her double-double closing pass. Posting a 14.900 due to a small step out, Biles tallied a 58.800 total.
